Fresher than a peppermint.
Safe to say for the past year or so, I’ve been relatively strict about eating healthy. However, for my New Year’s resolution, I promise that at least one meal a week, I will cook a full on meal from scratch that doesn’t involve steaming veggies, salads with no dressing, or putting salmon in an oven. It will most likely be fatty ass, satisfying comfort food (as my cheat meal, of course) and baked goodies. No more watching Food Network and admiring food porn for kicks. One meal a week! Maybe I’ll even host a few dinner parties at my place!
P.S. Is it weird that I kind of want the Unofficial Hunger Games cookbook? What a nerd.

Truth.
Seriously. It’s ridiculously hot and humid up in the Philippines. Very hard to look cute here…and I forgot a straightener. Looks like it’s school-girl high buns for the rest of the trip. Hahaha.
On another note, it’s so weird to not have constant access to the internet on my phone (dyingggg) and kind of nice to not be able to check my work e-mail. teeheehee.
Pictures to come soon!
I wonder how I would fare on a test now…
A great read on a very accomplished adult’s experience taking the 10th grade standardized math and reading tests.
I want!

I, along with my friends and co-workers, Henry and Tomasa, hosted our first Ugly Sweater Holiday Mixer at my new place for some DCP folks. I’d like to say it was a success!
My sister served as paparazzi for the night and took some great shots of the party.

Just finished “Like Crazy”. This movie was TOO MUCH. It was lovely…but left me like this:

QUICK UPDATE: A few months ago I finally moved out of my parents’ house into my own condo [with my sister] in LA…specifically Koreatown.
Seeing that this is my first time living on my own, there’s a lot that I’ve had to learn to do myself, and it’s been fun trying to be independent. Of course, FaceTime and a short drive have enabled my parents to keep a close watch on us, but you know…baby steps!
Our decor and whatnot is still “work in progress”, but I think we’re off to a good start. “Noli Calingo, Architect” has been having a blast decorating, and my awesome friend Stéphane Kardos has graciously offered some of his AMAZING artwork to help make my new place more human and less bed-and-walls/prison-like. Check out Stef’s Sketches here!!
If you’re ever in the area, hit me up! <3B
